Are you interested in films, by any chance? I like really old films. You can really see what the world looked like, thirty, fifty, a hundred years ago. You know the clothes, the telephones, the trains, the way people smoked cigarettes, the little details of life. The best films are like dreams you’re never sure you’ve really had. I have this image in my head of a room full of sand. And a bird flies towards me, and dips its wing into the sand. And I honestly have no idea whether this image came from a dream, or a film. Sometimes I like it in films when people just sit there, not saying anything.

So I found out just by pitch shifting Get Lucky, the track sounds a lot like Michael Jackson. The “He-hee’s”, “Woo’s” , “shamonas” and other MJ sounds developed on their own when the track sped up.

cbasch: This kind of literature/art is completely different than what other graphic novels express and I am so thankful that my KS201 course was able to expose me to Maus. Unfortunately, the majority of my family relatives did not survive the Holocaust and it is vital that I constantly remember and think about what happened because it’s the history that my family experienced. Even if you are not Jewish this graphic novel is amazing! It tells the story of the author, Art Spiegelman’s father experiences of the war and him being a prisoner/survivor at Auschwitz. The Jewish people are drawn as mice, the Nazi’s as cats. It is so griping that I can’t put it down (unless it is at night or else I get night terrors…). I highly recommend it; even to those who claim that they don’t read/like comic books. It also won the Pulitzer Prize…
